Frequently Asked Questions
-
I can help with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, including back and neck pain, joint problems, sports injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, and mobility issues. If you are unsure whether physiotherapy is appropriate for you, please get in touch to discuss your needs.
-
No. You do not need a GP referral to book with me. However, if you have one, you are welcome to bring it with you.

During your first session, we will discuss your symptoms, medical history, lifestyle and Red flag screening for serious conditions. We’ll conduct a thorough physical assessment, checking your movement, strength, flexibility, and posture. This may include palpation (gently feeling the affected area to identify tenderness or swelling), assessing functional movements like walking, squatting, or lifting, and performing special tests to pinpoint the source of your pain. Based on the findings, I will explain your diagnosis and recommend a personalised treatment plan, which may involve exercises, manual therapy, or electrotherapy. I will also provide tips to manage pain, advice on activities to avoid, and prescribe home exercises. Treatment may begin in the first session, and you'll be booked for a follow-up appointment to track your progress.
